Battey, at Canova, ashe joined two couples in the holy bonds of matrimony, to-wit: Mr. GeorgeKanpp of Lake county, to Miss Leonora Cargo, daughter of John Cargo, ofCanova, and in the evening of the same day, Mr. Elijah Delap, of RockCreek, to Miss Lanie Selief, at the residence of the brides sister, Mrs.Riley Campbell, of Carlson township. We enjoyed eating some very finewedding cake from the last wedding and below are the names of weddingpresents and their doners: Mr. & Mrs. Battey, bible; Mr. & Mrs. IsaacDelap, china dinner set (1/2 dozen knives, forks, & teaspoons); Mr. &Mrs. Gauger, table-cloth; Mr. & Mrs. T.P. Reese, sauce dishes; Mr. & mrs.R.B. Jamison Jr., glass set; Mr. & Mrs. Clinton Delap, lamp; Mrs.Campbell, butter dish; Mrs. Owens, tidey; Mr. & Mrs. Riley Campbell,heifer calf and ewe lamb; David Reese, vegetable dish; R.B. Jamison Jr.,pitcher. We wish teh young couples happiness in their voyage through lifeand the usual Dakota luck."
